Both are ISO, how to know if its a PSN or PS1 game?) (For example, I have FFVII for PS1 and the PSN version for PS3. Long time ago I made a ISO backup of PS1 and PS3 games and now I don't know which game is for which platform, how to find it? (maybe FTP.)Ĭ - Is there any tool on PS3 Tools Collection to convert PKG to ISO?Ĥ. Let me clarify:Ī - Whats is the difference between a PKG for HAN and HEN? What is needed to run any of them?ī - How to run PKG directly from external drive like ISOs? Or at least install on an external drive. After reading many things I saw that there are differences of JB/HAN/HEN backups and got even more confused. can somebody provide a recent tutorial?ģ. I did not understand on how to use TrueAncestor. Does not matter if HEN is actived or not. This behavior happens to copy any file or folder to external drives.Ĭ - I got confused on how to get those files with HEN, I tried from ps3 Xploit dumpers but HAN Inititalize/ACT.dat Initialize or other dumper tools gets initialized. So it seems to be invalid I think.ī - If I try to copy the ACT.dat from webMOD html file manager, I can do the steps but it never gets copied to my USB. Following what said, I'm trying to use PSN Liberator to convert my PKGs to ISOs but I simply cannot get ACT.dat and IDPS.hex because of the following:Ī - I made an idiot thing and hit some button on webMOD configuration screen on IDPS section and now my IDPS is 000. I got in more trouble with this game conversions.ġ. but only to the same directory where is performed the "gamedata" installation Incase we was able to modify that list (we cant as far i know), then we could force the copy of other files. the problem is if we add the DLC files to the ISO the installer inside the EBOOT is going to ignore them because are not in the list of files that needs to be installed also it seems some games does an additional "decompression" because the files installed are different than the files in the disc The eboot probably contains an installer and a list of the files that are going to be installed. This installation is made into dev_hdd0/game (like the DLC's), but the responsible of the installation is the EBOOT.BIN of the (running) game

you know, is an installation that happens the first time you boot the game in your PS3, is optional, some games doesnt uses it, others installs a couple of ridiculous files of some KB, and others installs several GB Click to expand.Another way to explain the problem is if we think how the games does the "gamedata" installation.
